Client Name:
CommuniCanine Training & Behavoiral Counselling
About:
CommuniCanine is a Victoria, BC–based dog training company offering both in-person classes and online education programs. Led by veteran trainer Darcie Jennings, the business had built a strong local reputation — but its digital presence did not reflect the depth of its expertise or the scale of its services.
The project focused on transforming a simple WordPress blog into a fully integrated platform that could support eLearning, in-class registrations, community engagement, and automated operations — all within one cohesive system.
The result was a dynamic digital experience that supports both the emotional side of dog ownership and the operational demands of a growing education-based business.
Project Brief:
The objective was to rebuild the website into a centralized digital ecosystem capable of supporting commerce, course delivery, membership access, and automated communication — without relying on multiple external platforms or subscription services.
This required developing a custom learning management structure, implementing WooCommerce for both in-class and online course registration, creating a protected membership portal with tiered access controls, and designing automated email flows triggered by customer behavior.
Beyond infrastructure, the brand was elevated visually through bold colour gradients, structured typography, curated imagery, and video integration — aligning the digital experience with the company’s energetic and professional training philosophy.
The finished platform now functions not only as a marketing website, but as the operational backbone of the business — managing registrations, payments, course access, communication, and community engagement through a single streamlined system.
